What to Expect

Let us give you a heads up on what to expect when you join us for a Sunday service. Everyone is welcome. Dress is typically business casual though you will often find a few suits and shorts in the group.

God’s Word is the foundation of every message preached at Kingsway. While the Truth does not change, you will find our delivery includes artistic elements and set designs to help convey the message of the Bible.

Music is a crucial part of one’s worship experience. We

continue to add new, contemporary worship music to our services while not completely abandoning some of the hymns you might remember from another generation.

Parents with elementary age or younger children will be happy to know we carefully screen every volunteer working with children. When you arrive, please use the North doors where you will register and check-in your children. Every parent is given a security ticket used to pick up your children after service.

What We Believe

These 8 statements briefly explain our doctrinal understanding:

1. There is only one true eternal God, creator of all heaven and earth, author of life and grace. (Genesis 1:1; Jude 1:24-25)

2. Jesus Christ is the one and only Son of God, who died for our sins and arose bodily from the dead. (1 Corinthians 15: 1-8 & John 3:16)

3. The Bible is the inspired word of God - a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path. (2 Timothy 3:16 & Psalm 119:105)

4. Every person has great worth as a creation of God, but all have sinned and fall short of God's glory. (Romans 3:23)

5. Forgiveness of sins and the promise of eternal life are available to those who trust Christ as Savior and Lord. (John 3:16)

6. Those accepting Christ should repent of sin, confess their faith, and be baptized into Him. (Romans 10:9 & Acts 2:38)

7. The Church is the body of Christ on earth, empowered by the Holy Spirit and exists to evangelize the lost and edify the saved. (Ephesians 4:1-16)

8. Jesus Christ will one day return to earth and reign forever as King of kings and Lord of lords. (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18)

For more details we invite you to join us at Kingsway Christian Church or e-mail one of our pastors.

Boomer Roland
Family Minister

BOOMER! Could there be a more fitting name? The oldest kid on staff, Boomer knows how to get our noses out of the books and keep us laughing all week long.

Decked out with its giant clock, chaise lounge chair, and salon-worthy aroma candles, his office is the place everyone wants to hang out.

But Boomer’s deepest passion is helping his own family and the families around him toward spiritual and financial health.
    Brett Ricley
Music and Outreach Minister

Brett has a passion for God and desires to see the body of Christ live like Christ did in order to truly impact our world through spreading the Gospel. Brett has a heart for the lost, those far from God, and seeks to lead by example in reaching out to the community. While Brett is gifted to play and sing, we are blessed to have his humble, teachable heart in worship as well.

Presently, Brett is a finishing a Bachelors Degree at Nebraska Christian College.
Hang around with him for a while and you'll hear him exclaim, "Wow. Unbelievable!" Brett is quick to smile, laugh and find a way to meet a need.

Toni Hanson
Administrative Assistant

Toni has contributed an eye for detail and servant attitude to Kingsway's staff team for many years. She keeps the free spirits on our team on track by paying bills, tracking attendance and sending out prayer requests.

You can offer Toni kind words of thanks, but nothing with peanut butter.

  Michele Flott
Administrative Assistant

Michele is the newest addition to our staff. She has a great family including husband, Steve, and kids, Anna and Kaleb.

Michele is the glue to a lot of our projects. While the staff is dreaming big, Michele holds steady and pulls the detail pieces together to help turn those dreams into a reality.

She'll greet you when you call or stop in, and she's great at making a good first impression. FYI, don't offer her fruit. She won't eat any of it. (Weird, we agree.)

Herman Bauman
elder

Herman can tell you stories of working the railroads or the first days of Kingsway Church. No matter what story he is telling, you will understand he cares deeply about you.

Herman begins most every morning reading his Bible and praying for people. Caring for God's church is his primary passion.

If you seek out Herman, be sure to also meet his lovely bride, Judy. You can find her in the nursery most every Sunday. Don't forget to give her a hug.

Tony Clark
elder

Tony and his wife Kris along with their two girls moved to Omaha to work with Nebraska Christian College.

Tony has gifts in organization and service. He is a great addition to the leadership team at KCC.

Ed Criger
elder

Ed and Esther are two the nicest people you'll ever meet. Ed is quick with a smile, handshake and encouraging word.

Ed came to faith in Christ late in life and so has a special interest in helping people know Jesus, even if they're skeptical about God and faith.

Ed's gifts are mercy and service and he exercises both in his leadership as an elder.

Jim Cunningham
elder

In his long ministry career, Jim has officiated at over 1000 funerals. But Jim's not one to lay down. He has a tender heart toward people and tells the truth boldly and clearly.

Jim is married to Blanche who is a great cook and much better looking than Jim.

Jerry Johnson
elder

Jerry has a passion for walking alongside men on their journey to follow Christ. He is authentically friendly.

He and his wife Nancy have two children at home, Christian and Hannah.

Pat Kostal
elder

Pat has been an elder at Kingsway for four years. He is an all-around nice guy with a willingness to help where he can.

He has two children with his lovely wife Brenda.

Don Rowe
elder

Don has an easy smile and will quickly make you feel at home as he listens and prays for you. He uses his gift of encouragement in his leadership role.

Don and Marcy have been a blessing to the Kingsway family for several years.
