Easy Ways to Help and Serve from Home:
1.  Face masks for Brookestone Village.
If you would like to help make cloth masks, contact Stacy at stacy@kingswayomaha.org for more information.
Face masks can include tie back or elastic straps.
2.  Cards for nursing home residents and essential workers.
If you need something to do, or need to give your kids something to do, we are looking for homemade cards for those essential workers still making the world turn every day, and for those who are isolated in nursing homes and care facilities.  A little note of encouragement and a fun picture from a child is just what they need to brighten their day!  Those can be dropped off to the church office Monday through Friday from 9-3.
3.  Phone calls to single people.
A simple phone call to someone who lives alone can improve a day exponentially.  Call just to say hi, see how they are doing and chat with someone who doesn’t have anyone to talk to normally.  If you don’t feel comfortable talking on the phone, send a text, email or Facebook message.  Let them know someone is thinking about them.
4.  Find a prayer partner.
An easy way to bless someone and help you stay connected at home is to find a prayer partner.  Call a friend and ask them if they would pray for you.  In return, you pray for them.  It’s a great way to find community during isolation and bless someone else through prayer.  Share your concerns, fears, praises and anything else you would like prayer for in your life.  If you need help getting connected with someone, contact the church office.
5.  YouVersion App Bible Study Plans
Download the YouVersion App on your phone or mobile device.  Find a plan you would like to read and invite others to join you.  At the end of each plan, there is a way that you can all participate in discussion about what you have been reading.  This is also a great way to share prayer requests.
6.  Help with the flowers and grounds at Camp of the Good Shepherd
Because Bible camps have been cancelled this summer, the camp is doing some renovations and needs our help!  Every Tuesday afternoon during the summer, Stacy will be taking a group out to Camp of the Good Shepherd to help maintain the grounds and landscaping.  If you would like to get involved, please contact Stacy Haynes at stacy@kingswayomaha.org.
If you know of any needs or have heard of any other ideas for outreach or how to bless those essential employees in our community, contact the office staff at 402.333.2231 or office@kingswayomaha.org.  We are always looking for more ways to serve the community.
