Thank you, Kingsway Family!

“Together We Dream; Congregational Readiness Review, Executive Summary”
Below are the findings of the survey taken by the Timothy Group at the beginning of August.  The summary is attached at the bottom of the page.

1. This Summary reflects a general assessment of the Kingsway Congregation from the Vision Weekend.  Included in this assessment is,

a) an assessment of Kingsway’s general mission and congregational health, and

b) an assessment of the congregation’s response to the details of the Building Renovation vision presented by the Building Team and Elders.

2.The Survey shows engagement from a wide range of our congregation with a wide range of perspectives on the subject of our church health, and the wisdom and feasibility of the Building Renovation.

3.There is strong support for the mission and ministry of our Church.

4. There is strong support for a phased and reasonable plan to renovate the current structure with 94% of those who responded to the survey expressing an openness to a Building Renovation campaign above and beyond their current giving.  At the same time, there are some concerns about the overall costs and lack of unity on the building renovation priorities.

5.The recommendation from Ron Hass, our congregational coach from the Timothy Group, is to provide some additional time for clear communication and refinement of the vision.  Ron is recommending a Spring 2024 campaign.

6.The elders have set a timeline for a capital funds campaign and “First Fruits Offering” for March of 2024.

7.Elders will direct the Building Team and Stewardship Team to plan for these adjustments to provide ongoing and clear communication for the leadership and congregational members.

8.The elders are thankful for the congregational input and ask the Church family to continue to pray for God to direct our steps as we follow Him in His mission.  Ephesians 5:10 is our spiritual objective – “Find out what pleases the Lord” and then do it with bold faith.

9.The elders and other leaders will make themselves available to hear and answer your questions about the Survey and its results in open gatherings before (9:15 AM) and after service (11:15 AM) for the coming weeks in the Northeast corner of the sanctuary.
